  • I love dogs

    July 17th, 2024

    Dogs or cats?

Dogs, yes I love dogs. Because I have a dog whom I love very much. And the innocence and cuteness of dogs is due to their loyal and faithful nature along with their attractive physical features like hanging ears and expressive eyes. Their unconditional love and loyalty towards humans creates feelings of affection which makes them beloved companions.

Having a dog is good for us physically and emotionally. Dogs make us happy and healthy. Dogs are loyal creatures, very intelligent and they get along well with humans. Whether I am out of the house for a few minutes or for many hours, my pet dog never misses a chance to greet me at the door.

  • Scientific importance of Devshayani Ekadashi?

    July 16th, 2024

All Ekadashi have special significance in Hinduism. Devshayani Ekadashi falling in the month of Ashadh is considered extremely important. Chaturmas also begins from this day. Lord Shiva controls the universe during Chaturmas. This period of four months is called Chaturmas. During Chaturmas, auspicious works like tonsure, marriage, housewarming, land worship, etc. are not performed. By worshipping Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi with a true heart on the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, the devotee receives Akshaya Punya and happiness and prosperity increase. According to the scriptures, from this Ekadashi, Shri Hari goes to rest in Kshir Sagar and awakens on Devuthani Ekadashi falling in the month of Kartik.According to mythological beliefs, on the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu visits King Bali in Patal Lok. By observing this fast, all sins are destroyed and salvation is attained. Lord Vishnu becomes pleased and fulfills all wishes.

Dev shayan also has scientific importance.
In Sanskrit literature, the word Hari is used especially for Lord Vishnu, Sun, Moon and Air. During Chaturmas, all these major powers Sun, Moon, Air etc. become weak and the elements obtained from them become scarce in the atmosphere. Due to this, many types of changes also take place in our body and our digestive power becomes weak. Since Lord Hari is considered omnipresent in the scriptures, Satvaguna among the three qualities present in our body and Pitta among the seven major metals of the body is considered to be the representative of Lord Hari. In such a situation, this time is considered a special time for the worship of Hari and the person is advised to eat Satvik food and live a Satvik life. At the same time, due to astronomical reasons, the Sun enters Cancer and becomes Dakshinayan and the rainy season is in its youth. Cancer is an aquatic sign. In such a situation, after entering Cancer, the Sun gradually moves forward reducing its intensity. During this time, the powers of the Sun become weak.  This time is considered to be the night of the gods. It is said that during this time all the gods and goddesses go into yogic sleep. By the time Kartik month arrives, the Sun enters Libra. Devuthani Ekadashi occurs around this time. Devuthani Ekadashi is considered to be the day of awakening of the gods. From this day onwards all the religious rules are implemented again and auspicious works start again.

On Devshayani Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu’s idol should be bathed with Panchamrit and worshipped with sandalwood, incense sticks, etc. After that, as per your capacity, a bed made of silver, brass, etc. should be spread over it and a yellow silk cloth should be spread over it and Lord Vishnu should be made to sleep. Keep fast as per your faith throughout the day and meditate on God. Do not gossip or speak ill of anyone. Stay awake at night and the next day on Dwadashi, feed a Brahmin and send him off by giving Dakshina as per your capacity and then break the fast. In the house where Devshayani Ekadashi fast is observed, no tamasic food should be cooked even by mistake and meat and alcohol should not be consumed. Women should not wash their hair on Devshayani Ekadashi. Nails and hair should not be cut on Devshayani Ekadashi. Doing so is considered extremely inauspicious. By observing Devshayani Ekadashi fast, a person gets wealth, health and prosperity.  By fasting and worshipping on this day, all sins are destroyed and salvation is attained. Fasting on this Ekadashi especially provides relief from the ill effects of Saturn and brings happiness, peace and prosperity in life. It is believed that by observing this fast, one gets the blessings of Lord Vishnu and all troubles are removed.

  • How to become a minimalist?

    July 16th, 2024

Simple living has been given a great place in  Indian culture. Most of the people of our generation, especially those who were born in villages, have grown up eating stale bread, stale rice and salt, oil and chillies. You will find most of these people even today more agile and fit than the people who grew up in cities and grew up eating toast, omelette and protein shake for breakfast. In your school days, you must have read or heard about “simple living, high thinking”. But the modern way of development, hunger for money, and excessive ambition to achieve success have taken us from village to city and city to metropolis. People who grew up in the simple life of village forgot their simplicity after seeing the glitz of the city. Minimalist life is a unique beauty, in which you live your life with simplicity and simplicity. It means that you rid your life of those things whose excess causes stress. This basic purpose of minimalist life is to bring mental peace and to make life more vibrant.

The first element of minimalist living is simplicity. Keep only those things in life that are really essential to you, that give value to your life and make you happy. Minimalist living allows you to get rid of unnecessary things, such as saving instead of overspending and reducing your clothes, jewelry, and other materials. Minimalist living prioritizes your health and personal growth. It allows you to devote time to activities that are important to you, such as yoga, meditation, studies, and career development. Minimalist living can also be an effective way to create a lively and supportive community, in which people share their resources and share prosperity. You can take the example of car pooling, Uber share, which is practiced in big cities. In this system, people working in offices, factories located at the same place go to work by sharing cars together.  This saves money and energy and you also contribute towards reducing pollution. In this way, minimalist living leads you to simplicity, mental peace, and self-realization, which can make your life more meaningful and happier.

You can start a minimalist life by getting rid of something that you do not want or need. In simple words, living with the least number of things. This is a lifestyle that is being adopted by people in many countries. Now you will say that in a country like India, where the largest population is somehow living with the least number of things, what is the meaning of minimalism. But poverty or absence of essential goods and services is not minimalism. Actually, it is not a matter of compulsion, it is a matter of choice. A choice in which you yourself choose to use only the most essential items. Despite the fact that you have the financial capacity to acquire the most expensive and maximum goods and services, you decide to be a minimalist with mindfulness. You apply to yourself that you will use and consume the least number of things and services.  By mindfulness, we mean the habit of observing things, habits, patterns, and behaviors with your happiness and making the necessary changes. If you want to completely adopt a minimalist lifestyle, it may take up to 1 or 2 years.

Understand one thing very well, this is not an overnight process. You start it slowly and achieve results gradually. So, do not worry about what to remove and throw away now. You only have to show the unnecessary, duplicate or excessive collection in the name of backup, luxury items the way out of the house. The path to adopting this lifestyle can be different for everyone in the beginning. But the destination is the same. Whenever you buy something, ask yourself whether you really need that thing. Is that thing just a temporary temptation? Make it a habit to ask this question to yourself. You cannot change yourself in a day and it also requires a lot of planning. That is why often people find it difficult to do all this with their professional life. It is a little difficult but if you make it a habit, then you will question yourself every time before doing anything. When you learn to question, then you will also find the answers to it.

Self-love is extremely important but it does not mean spending recklessly on yourself. It does not mean spending more and more on yourself. Rather, it means pampering yourself with quality goods and services. Spend on simple but nutritious food to ward off diseases, stay healthy and keep fit. Say no to junk. Prefer homemade food, reuse leftover food. Do not waste food. Eating in hotels is not bad, but excess not only affects the pocket but will also affect your target of being a minimalist. Cut down on expensive cosmetics and expensive clothes. Take advantage of natural things. Air, water, sunlight.. these will not only save you from spending on diseases but will also make your mind and brain fertile.

Effects of a Minimalist Lifestyle on Children

The kind of life you live, your children are also affected by that life. If you explain the value of every little thing in front of your children, then your children will also definitely understand it. That is why it is seen that children from rich families do not consider money as money. A minimalist lifestyle can make your child great. Today’s parents are worried about feelings like anger, jealousy and inequality in children. These children create rebellion in the society due to all these habits. If children were taught to survive with less material things from childhood, then perhaps these children could become good citizens of the country.

  • Meditation and Bhajan songs

    July 16th, 2024

Which activities make you lose track of time?

Everyone performs various activities in their daily routine, such as bathing, eating, cooking, cleaning, etc. Such activities help us to function effectively in daily life. But some of these activities make us forget to keep track of time.

Similarly, I also like meditation and while doing it I get lost in myself. I am not aware of the time. Unless there is a big noise, my eyes do not open. The second activity I like is singing the praises of God. Whenever I get a chance, I do not miss going to the kirtan. I like writing and singing bhajans, both of which do not let me be aware of the time.

  • my heart and mind

    July 15th, 2024

    What bothers you and why?

There will not be any person in this world who does not have any problem. And there will not be any problem on earth which has no solution. Similarly, I also have a problem with my mind and brain. Because I always keep thinking about something or the other.

It often happens with me that I am doing some work but my attention is somewhere else. This happens because some kind of thoughts always keep going on in the mind. The mind is never peaceful. Be it good or bad, thoughts come to everyone’s mind. Keeping your mind peaceful does not mean that we have to run away from them or thoughts can never come to the mind. Due to this habit of mine, sometimes I become very worried. Although the reason for my thinking is not very big. But I cannot give up this habit of mine even if I want to.

  • Do you respect yourself?

    July 14th, 2024

Do you respect yourself? If not, learn to do so today. Because only when you respect yourself will people respect you. The more you understand yourself, the more you will truly see yourself as different and appreciate it. And the more you will respect yourself. Discover your own rules, personality, and talents. This exciting process of self-discovery may take some time, but you will soon find it worthwhile. When you feel respected, your self-confidence increases, which brings success and happiness in your life. Self-respect is the result of respecting yourself as well as respecting others and the ability to understand their importance. It is also called the ability to win the respect of other people. Self-respect means loving yourself and treating yourself with care. It is the result of staying true to your values and not being willing to compromise.  The more you behave in accordance with your beliefs and values, the more fulfilled and confident you will feel.

    How to develop self-esteem?

By developing a strong sense of self-esteem, you can help fulfill your potential, build healthy relationships, and present yourself to everyone around you as a person who is worthy of respect. If you really want to respect yourself, then you have to accept yourself and start becoming the person you always wanted to be. Take some steps to learn to be happy with who you are and to receive the kind of treatment you deserve from everyone.Spend time with yourself as if you were on a date with yourself. Try going to a new place that you really want to go to. This will give you a chance to connect with your own feelings and thoughts.

A positive attitude can make or break your success in life as well as your self-esteem. Even if things don’t go your way, be confident that something good will happen eventually. Be happy with your daily life and whatever it gives you. If you are feeling very negative about everything and can only imagine the bad in every situation, then you will never be able to feel good about yourself or give yourself the respect you deserve. If you want to respect yourself, then you have to forgive yourself for the mistakes you have made in the past that you are ashamed of. And then start moving forward. If you are blaming yourself for a wrong decision you have made or saying something hurtful to yourself, then you will never be able to move on. Know that you are a human being.  People make mistakes. Making mistakes is a way to learn, so accept them and forgive yourself.

How to be happy with yourself?

If you’re not happy with yourself, your looks, or what you do, it’s going to be very hard to build self-respect. Building self-confidence can take a lot of effort, but doing just a few simple things every day can help you get started.Start by maintaining positive body language, good posture, smiling more, and thinking three nice things about yourself every hour.If someone gives you a compliment, say “thank you” and accept it.
Be comfortable in your own skin. Learn to accept and love who you are. This doesn’t mean you have to be perfect, but you do have to learn to embrace yourself. Be happy with the things you like about yourself, and be happy that you’re not perfect, especially when it comes to the things you can’t change.

    Stop looking at other’s plates

One of the reasons why you lack self-respect could be that you think all your friends are getting engaged and you are still single or you could be thinking that you are not making much money compared to other people you know. Maintain your own standards and work towards achieving the goals you want. Don’t waste your time doing things to impress your friends or to get fake praise. In fact, there is a lot of happiness in doing what you want to do instead of copying what other people are doing.

If you’re constantly changing your mind or rethinking your decisions because of people, people will think you lack conviction. Once you have what you believe in, it will be much harder for negative people to influence you. Stop wanting what other people have and work towards what you really want. The feelings of bitterness and resentment that come with jealousy will only make you dislike yourself more and wish you were someone else. Put this resentment aside and start working towards the things that make you happy.

If you want to respect yourself, you need to start by respecting the people around you, not just those who are more experienced or more successful than you, but every single person in the world who has never harmed you. Of course, some types of people don’t deserve respect, but you should treat people the way you would want to be treated. If you want to respect yourself, you need to learn to forgive people who have wronged you. This doesn’t mean you have to become best friends with them, but it does mean you have to mentally forgive them and learn to move on. If you spend all your time thinking about your own pain and resentment, you can’t think well or live in the present. So, do yourself the favor of forgiving people so you can move on more easily.

We all meet people in our lives who are better than us in some way or another, whether it’s in looks, brains or personality. It’s also possible that they are liked more than we are. They may even be healthier or have a better job than us. They may be more successful or have a larger circle of friends. They may have more things and money, a newer car or, if nothing else, they may just seem happier than us. Do we compare ourselves to others in any of these ways? It’s hard to stop comparing ourselves to others, because everyone wants to be perfect these days. Comparing ourselves to others is very common, and feeling jealous is also a common trait. But when you worry only about your shortcomings without thinking about your strengths, you’re going down the wrong path. We can really move forward if we start evaluating our achievements and skills.  You can break your addiction to comparison by looking at yourself from your own perspective. Set goals for yourself that will boost your self-esteem and learn ways to improve your self-esteem.

  • Why is a corner house not auspicious?

    July 13th, 2024

Home is an important part of our life. In today’s era of inflation, building your own house is no less than a big achievement. If you are also thinking of buying a house, then first know some rules according to Vastu, otherwise instead of peace, unrest will spread in the house. Because before buying a house, it is also important to know the position of the planets in your horoscope. Many times the planets in the horoscope improve from the house, but if your house is not right, then there is a hindrance in getting good results.

It is believed in Vastu Shastra that buying a corner house increases problems in a person’s life, because such a house is considered to be the house of Ketu. In astrology, Ketu is considered to be a cruel planet. According to Vastu Shastra, if two roads are coming towards the house in a V shape, then it is also not considered auspicious. One should not buy a south facing house. It may give peace to your life now but when you start getting its results, then it snatches away everything that has been achieved. If there is an untimely death in this house, it is not a big deal. This is especially the house of strife and disease.

A house which is open from three sides or in the corner is also not good. People living in such a house have to suffer due to loss of money, enmity in the family, troubles and spoiled children. This can be good as well as bad. In Ketu’s house, there may be male children, boys or grandsons but there will be only three in total. In this house, there is a risk of children, windows, doors, bad air, sudden deception. Rahu resides in the toilet of the house, so it should be kept clean after building it according to Vastu. While buying a house, definitely keep in mind that the toilet is not built in the north or north-east direction. Rahu also resides on the stairs of the house. If the stairs are built in the right direction, then the people climbing or descending it progress day and night. Each step of the stairs should be equal and the stairs should always be in odd numbers. Stairs built in the wrong direction are an obstacle in progress. If there is a lane on the right, left or behind the house, then it should not be closed. Farming or gardening should also not be done there.  Any kind of obstruction in the street has an adverse effect on the future of the children. According to Vastu Shastra, having the kitchen in the south-east corner is auspicious. The ruling planet of this direction is Venus. If the kitchen is not in the south-east corner, then it has an adverse effect on the health of the people living in the house, especially the health of women. There is also loss of food and money. This can lead to various digestive diseases. The place where the kitchen is located, there should be easy passage of air and light. According to Vastu, the kitchen should not be made in the south-west direction of the house even by mistake. Apart from the south-east, the kitchen can also be located in the north and west directions. Other directions create Vastu defects.

If there is a bar, gambling den, meat shop, noisy factory or any other factory, music hall, dance hall, drain, unnecessary pillars and negative trees around the house you are buying, then you should not buy a house there because all these will spread negativity in your life and will also give rise to accidents in life. Three types of houses are not good; houses under the influence of Saturn, Rahu and Ketu should not be bought. That is, the house around which there are mango and palm trees, there is a basement inside the house, the back wall is raw, then this will be considered as a house under bad Saturn. Another house if is in a deserted area, looks scary from inside and around which there are bushes or plants like acacia and cactus, then it is a house under bad Rahu.Houses are not bought again and again in life, so before buying a house, these things must be kept in mind.

  • Both security and adventure are important

    July 13th, 2024

Are you seeking security or adventure?

Life is a drama in which a man plays many roles, like mother, father, brother, sister, friend, and many more. He does not find happiness in every role. The role in which he does not find happiness does not give him thrill either. There are many roles which require security too, because a man can invite enmity from someone else with his tongue at any time. Here, many stunts (meaning fights) may also have to be done. Hence, both security and adventure are important for a man.

  • Is the meaning of human life only in being desireless?

    July 12th, 2024

The human body is the best gift of God. We have got this body after wandering in so many births according to the deeds of our previous births. The anatomy of no creature in the world is as excellent as that of man. God has given man a body endowed with all qualities. Each and every part of it, each and every sense is unique in its functionality.

Most people consider this body to be everything and do not feel the need to think beyond it. They keep decorating this body all the time and keep on satisfying their senses. Most people forget the soul present in it. They forget that the body is mortal but the soul is immortal. The body gets destroyed, God has graciously given it to us only for some time. This is just a means, the abode of the soul through which it can attain salvation by walking on the path of salvation. What is the goal of human life?  Most people consider attainment of heaven as their only goal. But; where is this heaven? It is determined and created by our state of mind. We ourselves create the state of heaven or hell on the basis of our conduct and circumstances. It is necessary that we set a clear goal of our life. The only goal of life is to firmly express the latent divinity within us and realize our real existence. There is only one God sitting within everyone and he is the inner soul of everyone. He is the giver of the results of actions and he is inside everyone. Every human being is a form of God, due to circumstances he has strayed from his path, after knowing this great truth, the ultimate goal of man is to inculcate this divinity in his conduct.

A life of wisdom is the true human life. There is no place for desire and useless thinking in it. The reason is that neither these two lead to our welfare nor make the society beautiful. It is proved that every desire arises from disrespect for one’s own knowledge. Desire is another name for the interest in taking pleasure from a person, object, situation, situation etc. The essence of curiosity cannot be called desire, because its fulfillment is not possible with any object etc. Love also cannot be called desire, because selflessness is inherent in its nature. Yoga also cannot be called desire, because only when there is no desire and thinking, eternal yoga is possible. By being free from desire, all problems – physical, social and mental – can be solved. Making good use of the situation is not desire. It is devotion to duty. Desire binds a person only in thinking about the future and future, it does not solve any problem.  The root cause of the social problems that are before us today is that we dream of solving the problem by misusing power and disrespecting prudence – which is never possible. Every sensible person knows this very well and must also agree that problems cannot be solved due to weakness and ignorance. The thing that is achieved by hard work and action cannot be achieved by mere wishing and thinking. For that, one has to be industrious.

For the welfare of ourselves and the society, it is essential that selfishness be transformed into a sense of service. To get life from things, we have to make good use of the things we get and serve people, that is, we have to protect the rights of others and sacrifice our own rights through our actions. By doing this, attachment to things will also disappear. By erasing attachment, selfishness will disappear and as soon as selfishness disappears, the awakening of the sense of service will happen automatically. After the awakening of the sense of service, there is nothing left for the seeker to do or achieve. It is important to keep in mind that love arises only when there is no desire. The reason is that only the seeker who does not want enjoyment and salvation gets love. Everyone must agree that without love, there is no increase in rasa, without realization of the element, immortality is not attained and without the tendency for the welfare of all, the creation of a beautiful society and world peace is impossible. Therefore, it is proved beyond doubt that the meaning of human life lies in being desireless.  Remember, every person is free to be free of desires. A person’s life is his own, he has to decorate it himself. We cannot live by imitating others. In society we have to live with others for some time but when we are in our own home, then only our mind is with us. At that time we get the support of our Sadhana only. And when we have to live with the Sadhana of our mind, then why don’t we make our mind such a Kalpavriksha, such a Kamadhenu, that the contemplation of our life can become fertile.

It is essential to have both materialism and spirituality in life. Materialism is the means and spirituality is the end. The meaning of life lies in considering the body as the means and planning the life program. Your usefulness to the society is the meaning of your life. We are born for a specific purpose and the fulfillment of that purpose is the meaning of life. We do not know that purpose, so by proving useful to the society, the purpose is fulfilled somewhere. The essence of life is your ultimate truth. Once you adopt the essence, life becomes meaningful. In simple words, it should give you peace, make you feel alive and fulfill your purpose. For some people it may be bringing peace or spreading love. The meaning of life lies in sacrificing your life for others without expecting any reward. It helps us to build good relationships with the people around us.
