A young boy lived in a small village. He didn’t do any work. Everyone in the village used to call him lazy. He would go to the field and sleep the whole day and keep on weaving good dreams of the future. Once upon a time a very knowledgeable saint came to his village. That saint stayed in the village for two-three days. When he went for a walk outside the village, he would see that boy lying there sleeping. The saint understood that this is a very lazy boy, the saint decided to cure him. The saint said to him, son, will you do one thing for me? The boy asked what to do? The saint said, go to the hill which is visible from here and bring me a feather. The boy said, I will not be able to work so hard. Then the saint said, oh son, this is not an ordinary feather. By keeping this path with you, you can fulfill every wish. Then greed arose in the boy’s mind. And he went out to get feathers for the saint.

The way to the hill was very difficult. The boy was very tired yet he did not give up. The higher he climbed, the more the feeling of happiness was increasing in his mind. While walking he reached the top of the mountain. He felt as if he had won the battle. The view down from the hill was very beautiful. Now he had to find the feather on the hill. While searching hard somewhere, he saw a feather. Which was shining even in the dark. He picked up the feather and now he was worried about going back. Because the path to the hill was absolutely pebbly. He had reached here by falling down with great difficulty. Now the name of going back started troubling him. Once he thought what should I do? Then immediately he noticed that after working so hard I have come up, so now I have to go. He started walking back with very tired feet stumbling. At last he reached the saint. It seemed that he had conquered the world. He was feeling happy that today he conquered his laziness.

Seeing his happiness, the saint said that children, today you have done what not everyone can do. The world is not born with laziness, but makes itself.

After listening to the saint, the boy started thinking that I am lazy, but I have achieved such a big thing, so what is the work that I will not be able to do now. After that day the boy completely changed.

The saint said that as long as we only think about our plans, we will not be able to achieve our goal. We have to work hard.
