How did Goddess Saraswati originate?
While creating the universe, Lord Brahma sprinkled water from his Kamandal, due to which the goddess with six arms appeared in the form of Shakti. Therefore Vasant Panchami is celebrated as the festival of appearance of Goddess Saraswati.
