The people of a village had no friendship among themselves at all. Even if any decision had to be taken for the village, they would start fighting among themselves. The people of the village hated each other very much. The people of other villages also knew this, that is why people of other villages did not want to come to this village. Everyone in the village, from children to old people, had the same nature. A woman lived in this village. That woman was different from these villagers. She wondered why this was happening in this village, and if she tried to explain it to anyone, no one would listen to her. One day a saint asks his disciples to bring him back from the village begging for alms. Then the disciple said that if the people in the village are not happy with each other then why will they give us alms. Then the saint says that we are saints and it does not matter to anyone’s behavior. Let us go to this village today to beg. The saint went to that village to take alms but no one gave him alms there. Only the woman who was away from the village gave alms to the saint. Now the saints started going to that village daily for alms. One day, while giving alms, the woman asked the saint, you come to this village every day to take alms, by now you must have known the behavior of the people of this village. Please tell me when will these habits of these people change? Where your holy feet lie, I believe that the people of this village will change one day at a time. After listening to the woman, the saint said, I come here only to take alms, I don’t care whether the people here fight or die.

The woman gets very angry after listening to the saint. The woman says, I had thought that you are a learned saint, your arrival will bring change in my village. But you are also like these people. I have not taken any contract to give you alms. The villagers were also listening to the woman’s words. She started saying that you call yourself such a great scholar, and you don’t even know how to talk to a woman, go away from my door, now there is no alms for you. The saint was listening to the woman silently. When the woman wanted to close the door, the saint said, Goddess, don’t be so angry, if you are feeling too angry, take a long breath and drink water. Saying this the saint started smiling. The woman was surprised to see this behavior of the saint. Then that woman started asking the saint, what kind of double faced behavior is this of yours? Then the saint explained to that woman, what did I say to you so loudly that you got angry so much.

This is what is lacking in your village. No one has patience here. Nor have these people learned any lesson on tolerance. Here no one listens to each other completely but expresses his/her opinion before that. I thought you were the most intelligent woman in this village. But you also became a little like him while living here. But a man’s wisdom is revealed only when time comes. This is the weakness of your village, there is no coolness, humility among the people. The people of your village do not like to listen to anyone, they consider themselves more intelligent. Putting one’s own views above all else, considering others as ignorant, and not changing oneself with time is the biggest weakness of a human being.

The biggest weakness of a human being is to work less or run away from hard work. Because a person who does not like to work hard can never be successful. The most thing that stops you from working hard is the laziness sitting inside you, it makes you useless and inefficient and less hardworking.
