Death is an unchangeable truth. This cannot be denied. Whoever is born on this earth has to bid farewell to this world one day or the other. The body is mortal and the soul is immortal. The soul leaves one body and enters a new body. In this way the cycle of life and death continues. Freedom from this cycle of life and death is called the attainment of Moksha or Vaikuntha Dham. Many times we become so possessive about things that we become adamant in achieving them. Our stubbornness or our dogmatism takes us away from reality. We start living in the world of imagination and move away from the truth. It is important to control this stubbornness and dogmatism or get away from it. You remained engaged in spiritual practice throughout your life for salvation, but you did not get salvation. But this effort is also the success of life. Even if you become successful in worldly matters and that success is achieved by following the wrong path or through injustice, dishonesty, shortcuts and by snatching away the rights of many people, then that is not success. If you have achieved the opulence of the world, but have done so by following the wrong path, then this is the biggest failure of life. A man who follows the path of truth may not be successful in life, but his life is successful.
Even if someone has to struggle a lot while following the path of truth, no one will call that person a failure. When God appears in thoughts, its name is knowledge. If God appears in feelings then its name is devotion. Similarly, when God is manifested in action, it is Karmayoga. Be it practical life or spiritual life, knowledge, devotion and action, all three are required. If you don’t have knowledge then how will you do your work properly? Even if you know what to do but are not doing it, it will not work. So knowledge, devotion and action all three are required in life.
Shri Krishna says in Geeta that there is nothing as sacred as knowledge. There is no liberation without knowledge. God says to Arjuna on the battlefield, ‘Why am I employing you in this act of war, because this is the right path for you. For a Kshatriya, war is also a sacrificial act, because it is a duty, fighting is the dharma of a Kshatriya. But it is necessary to understand when to fight and why to fight. Knowledge of who to fight and how to fight is essential. It is your duty to fight the oppressor, the unjust, the aggressor, the one who has snatched away the rights of others.
God says to Arjun, ‘You should not have a desire for power but it is your duty to stop the tyrants from coming to power. If they win, if they become successful then people’s loyalty and faith will also be towards them. Due to this the values will gradually decline. Common people will be attracted towards it because people want success, people want happiness, people want convenience. If they come across wrongdoing then people will not hesitate in doing it. This will lead to the downfall of the entire society. Therefore, O Arjun, those who are awakened like you, who are gentlemen, for whom work is worship, who are intelligent, should not sit idle, they should not consider it as the end of their duty just in discussion. Evil has not caused as much harm as the inaction of gentlemen. The evil ones are active, it is not such a big problem. But the gentlemen of the society are inactive, this is a big problem. It is also important to keep in mind the difference between a religious war and a war in the name of religion. Today, more wars are taking place in the name of religion, rather than considering war as religion.
First of all, there is no salvation from virtue or sin. Both virtue and sin bind us in the bondage of karma, the absence of both is salvation. For this, it is necessary to keep doing the work naturally without having any attachment towards virtue or sin. Just as a leaf lying in the flow of a river has no independent will but moves like the flow of water, in the same way, if a person gives up his independent good and bad desires and behaves only towards his duties, then his Karmic bondage gradually disappears automatically and this process is the first step to liberation.
In Sanatan Dharma, Ekadashi date has been described as the best among all the fasts. This fast is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. According to religious belief, if a person always fasts on every Ekadashi and follows all the rules, then he gets freedom from the bondage of birth and death and attains Vaikuntha Dham. The second way of liberation is Kashi, the city of Lord Shiva. . It is said that it rests on the trident of Lord Shiva. The description of Kashi city is also found in Shivpuran. The Kotwal of this city is Lord Kalbhairav, the Rudra form of Lord Shiva. According to the belief, a person who sacrifices his life in Kashi while serving and remembering Lord Shiva, gets freedom from the cycle of birth and death. The means of liberation: If a person gets the good fortune to visit Kailash Mansarovar again and again, then Lord Shiva has special blessings on him. It is believed that the person who visits this place and drinks the water of Manasarovar does not have to get trapped in the cycle of birth and death. According to astrology, the person who worships Maa Tulsi regularly and worships Lord Shiva daily. If someone offers Tulsi to Vishnu, he gets freedom from the cycle of birth and death and gets a place in the heavenly world.
