When the boy woke up in the morning, the saint said to the boy. Son, will you pluck a flower from a distant garden for me? But the path from my cottage to the garden is full of ferocious dogs. That dog is very ferocious. You have to go very carefully. Otherwise they can attack you. The boy said to the saint, okay, I will try my best to bring flowers for you. When the boy went out to fetch flowers, as soon as he went a little further, he saw a pack of dogs. He was starving to see her. The dogs were looking so scary that he didn’t dare to go ahead. He came back to the saint and said, I am not strong enough to face these dogs. I’m sorry I was unable to bring you flowers.

The saint called one of his disciples who was blind and deaf. The saint told the disciple to go and bring flowers for me. The disciple left silently. He was moving towards the garden with his slow steps. The boy was watching the disciple leave. The dogs were barking at the disciple too. But he was going at his own pace. After a while he came with flowers for the saint. The saint told him to the boy, see, he does the work of bringing flowers for me everyday. And it has been doing this for many years.

The saint explained to that boy. If we want to reach our destination, we should become completely blind and deaf. When you will not look at anyone else, then it will not matter to you, how much people are hungry. You should stop listening to other’s words. People try to mislead you from your destination by taunting you. If you continuously ignore their words then people themselves will get upset. You also have to live in this world with your head held high You have every right. Make yourself tough. Let people change, don’t change you. Make up your mind that you will remain the way you are. You don’t need anyone’s opinion.

Never do as people do to you. They will automatically regret one day or the other. Never consider yourself weaker than anyone in any sense.
