While creating the world God created different seasons so that people can enjoy all the seasons. There is a reason behind creating all these. Man is never satisfied. When it is very cold he remembers the summer. When it is very hot he remembers the rain.
I like all the seasons because all the seasons bring something that I like. But I like some of these seasons. Summer season brings mango, litchi and many other vegetables. Nowadays everything is available in every season. But the taste of things available in season is different. The joy of cold drinks and light clothes is something else.
Winters bring short days and long nights, which create a unique atmosphere. Cold mornings give a different feeling. Hot beverages like coffee, tea and hot chocolate are even more loved in this season. The warmth of a blanket and the desire to wear a sweater is fulfilled only in winter.
The rainy season has its own fun. After the scorching heat of summer, when the drizzling raindrops fall, it feels like the ears have heard some music. I still like the smell of soil, colorful umbrellas, and playing in water. Rain brings with it many kinds of happiness, hopes, enthusiasm, excitement, inspiration and opportunities. There is a different feeling of love in the rainy season. Hot pakoras with tea taste good only in the rain. When we were small, we used to get wet in the rain water without any hesitation, we used to sail our paper boats in the rain water. Then it used to seem that we got all the happiness of the world from the raindrops. But when we grow up and get responsibilities, then we are afraid of getting wet in the same rain lest we fall ill. But sometimes, bathing in the rain is a lot of fun.so I think All seasons are good if you know how to enjoy them.
If you cannot live without something, then it is a necessity. But sometimes it happens that we get used to a thing more than we need it. Like I have become habituated to it, I cannot live without an expensive handbag. Sometimes I think that this is a waste of money. I am not fond of other things. But I like having good handbags.
What are the most important things needed to live a good life?
God has given us this life. We can live this life in our own way. Some people live their life very well, while some people are not happy with their life. Everyone has a different way of living life. Some live their life with a goal, while some live their life just for fun. But very few people live their life in the right way. Life is the name of the lively, how can a dead heart live. This is the biggest truth of life.Life should really be like this. Only then is it fun. Only those who live life pausing, thinking and fearing, remain alive. To be lively means to live without any worries and most importantly to live in the present. Most of us spend our days either in remembering the past and getting upset, or in worrying about the coming ‘tomorrow’. Live life with the flow. This should be the basic mantra of life. Work, work and only work, makes life monotonous. ‘While family, friends and balance’ all these also matter.
There is a period in life when we just work. If you are also among those who think that what am I doing? Then do not be disappointed. Know that your work is the best investment of your life. In the future, the ‘interest’ of this investment is going to be useful to you. So stay busy, stay happy. Work but remember other things too.
Who cares who is right and who is wrong? After two weeks you will not even remember the ‘reason’ for the fight. Your compassion is more important than being right, clearing your point and proving yourself right. Whoever is right or wrong! It does not matter, forgiveness should have the highest place. So do not waste too much time thinking. Career and work take us away from home. And then gradually we get engrossed in work only. Home, parents become secondary. You do not know for how long their blessings remain on our head? Therefore, no matter how far you go, you should always remain in touch with them. If there is life, there is risk! Why step back? If you feel like doing something, do it. Good or bad. Right or wrong. There are only two things in this world. So if you are right, it is okay, you will move forward. If you are wrong, you will still learn a lesson. You will gain experience. So it is not wrong to show commitment towards things.
Do not expect too much from others because it only hurts you. What you think, how you think, you do. That is yours, it does not happen that others should do the same. The universe is another name for inclusion. So instead of eliminating negativity, add positivity. Instead of removing a toxic friend from your life, spend more time with good friends. Adding naturally reduces negativity in life. What I mean to say is, instead of running away from people who hurt you, focus on those who give you happiness. Instead of trying to avoid bad times, face them. This is said because the things we run away from often trouble us the most. What is resisted, stays. It is the bad times or the ‘low phase’ that makes us feel the taste of success. So keep calm and assess. You will come out of this phase too.Don’t be afraid of your job. Don’t think that your job is your only creative expression. You have other qualities and skills, bring them out. It is not right to keep pointing out someone’s mistakes all the time. No one likes to be told wrong. If something has to be said, told or explained, do it indirectly. Who wants to be told that they are wrong? You may be doing the right thing by doing this, but this habit will give you more enemies than friends. So avoid people who don’t like you or for whom your appreciation is like a sad story. Don’t keep them tied. If you want to let go of such relationships and people from your life, then let them go. Because by doing this you will make space in your life for those people who love you and appreciate you. Remember those things which make you happy.
And do this often. Because it will make you habituated to staying close to good things. It will make you addicted to being happy. Spend time with your loved ones i.e. your partner. See in them only what you want to see. Praise them. Appreciate them. Because life partner is the most precious thing in life. And no one else can ever give this closeness. Do not expect too much from others.
God has given us life and has given us a lot to live for in this life. We should thank God for our life. There is always happiness and sorrow in our life. Sometimes we are happy and sometimes we are sad. But it is also very important to share them. When we share our sorrow with others, our sorrow reduces but when we share our happiness with others, our happiness increases even more.Nothing can be greater than honesty. If anyone wants to live his life happily, he should live honestly. The more honest you are, the more happiness you will get. In this time, there is a great shortage of honest people, but whoever lives with honesty is never unhappy.
Mental peace is the greatest peace. Material happiness is temporary. And no matter how much of it you get, there is no satisfaction.
In this busy life, no one has time. But whenever we get time, there are some people or some gadgets with whom we like to spend our time. Same is the case with me. Whatever time I get, I spend it either with some gadget or with God. Spending time with gadgets is my profession, but I like spending time with God. When we spend time with God, we can open up God’s plans for our life. We can get guidance from him about the steps and decisions to be taken for our life. There are countless stories of people in the world who spent time with God and received his company. By doing so, we see him guiding us on various aspects of life. Through this, we truly tap into the source of our power, faith and joy. We see our lives changing in ways that may seem hard to believe. As we spend time with Him, we become like children of God.
If you had to change your name, what would your new name be?
This is a very difficult question. I never thought about it. Because I don’t have any objection to my name. My name is Jyoti. My parents must have named me this with a lot of love. No one names a child just like that. And the meaning of my name is also understandable to all. Jyoti means light. Still if someone asks me what my new name would be, I would say that I like the name “Diya”. Deeya means earthen lamp lit with wick and oil. Because firstly this name is very short. And its meaning is similar to my name. The work of a diya is to remove darkness from life with light. Diyas are a symbol of goodness and purity and lighting them means removing darkness and moving towards light which represents knowledge, prosperity and wisdom.
I like this chocolate so much that I don’t need any mood to eat it. If it is kept in front of me, I cannot stop myself from eating it. Sometimes I have to eat it by hiding it from the children because seeing my fondness, the children say that mummy, don’t eat too much of it, it has fat.
Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?
Yes of course, I still remember my childhood favourite book. When I was five years old, my father bought me a set of Panchatantra books on my birthday. From then onwards I started reading books little by little.
Father used to say that for building a better society, children should be given all kinds of knowledge so that they can develop in all aspects. According to the scriptures, for the first 7 years of a child, he should be given information from all sides in a natural manner. Efforts should be made to increase curiosity and the urge to learn in him. Children’s mental development increases by reading stories and comics, as well as talking about these with parents and teachers without hesitation. Children should be encouraged to read and listen to such stories that can inculcate good values in them. Also, by reading informative stories, the burdensome routine of school and homework of children does not seem burdensome and these stories, along with entertainment, also inspire children to think something new and creative and sometimes to write something new. Children’s perspective on various subjects also changes and their grip on language also becomes strong, which helps them in their studies.
Panchtantra stories teach children a very good lesson by presenting all the subjects in a very interesting way. Panchtantra stories are very lively. By reading each story, one can gain knowledge about how to be successful in every field of life. These stories, which introduce the principles of psychology, practicality and morality, present all the subjects in a very interesting way to children in simple language and at the same time every story tries to teach a lesson. In these stories, animals and birds have been described more in the form of letters and the author Pandit Vishnu Sharma has expressed his thoughts through them. It is easy to give children knowledge of right and wrong etc. by making animals, birds / people as the basis. In most of the stories of Panchtantra, various practical, social, cultural things have been mentioned through stories of animals / wild animals, through which children learn good values. From the stories of different parts of Panchtantra, children learn how to behave with friends, what is the place of family in life, what is the importance of hard work and honesty and how to solve the problem with one’s intelligence in times of crisis. This leads to the formation of a good society. These stories are available in the form of pictures, which makes them very easy and interesting for children to understand. Being translated into more than 50 languages, these stories of Panchtantra have a wide reach and prove to be very useful in explaining moral matters to children in their language very easily.
I also gave these books to my children to read. Although now is the era of TV and mobile, still my children read Panchatantra with great interest.
List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?
Although I have read many books in my life, but there are some books among them which have made me aware of the truth of life. First of all, I would like to tell you about Bhagwat Geeta. Reading Bhagavad Geeta introduces us to the truth about life and helps us to get rid of superstitions and false beliefs. The knowledge gained from Geeta removes our doubts and builds our self-confidence. The teachings of Geeta tell us that we should think well before doing any work. The purpose of life should be integration with God and follow the teachings of Bhagavad Geeta. We should try to live our life in such a way that in the end we feel satisfied in living life with the true values of humanity. From Geeta, we get the knowledge that a person should only focus on his work and karma. Also, while doing work, we should keep in mind that whatever work we are doing, we will definitely get its result.
The second book is Ramayana. Ramayana is not only a religious text but it also teaches life lessons to humans. In Ramayana, where Lord Rama is called Purushottam, the purity of Mother Sita is also shown. Both Laxman and Bharat’s immense love for their brother is shown. Every character of Ramayana definitely teaches something. The biggest lesson we get from Ramayana is that we should always stay away from evil. Every work should be done with a true and good heart. Ramayana teaches us that no matter how powerful or big the evil is, one day goodness will definitely win. Therefore, one should always avoid doing bad deeds.
Unity in diversity is a big lesson of Ramayana. In this epic, when Shri Ram goes to attack Lanka, his army included humans, monkeys and other animals. Everyone supported Shri Ram. Apart from this, despite the different characters of King Dasharath’s four sons, there is unity among them. This is a lesson for every family to come out of the time of sorrow. Ramayana also teaches the importance of relationships and trust. Shri Ram kept his promise to Kaikeyi even after knowing everything. There was love between all the brothers. There was no place for greed, anger or betrayal in such love. Laxman spent 14 years in exile with brother Ram, while the other brother Bharat rejected the opportunity of the throne. This lesson of brotherly love inspires us to give importance to relationships instead of greed and worldly pleasures. Ramayana is the only text that teaches dignity and discipline. Shri Ram’s personality was full of dignity and discipline. He fulfilled every responsibility of his life well by staying within the limits. What we should learn from his life is that by living with dignity and discipline we can become a good person.
Shri Ram was of calm nature. He had compassion for every human being. With love and compassion, he also fulfilled the responsibilities of a son, husband, brother and a king very well. This nature of Shri Ram inspires us to adopt human qualities like mutual love and respect. By adopting these qualities, we can live a happy and satisfied life. With the help of this, we can win over the evils of society. Lord Ram’s humble conduct and respect for everyone teaches us. We should treat everyone equally despite the differences of position, age, gender etc. We should also have love and compassion towards animals. A true human is one who treats everyone equally. By reading Ramcharitmanas, we learn how a husband and wife should live and how much trust they should have on each other. Respect for husband and wife and wife for husband is Ramcharitmanas. From Ram Katha, we learn that like Ram, we should respect the feelings of our parents and teachers completely. This story inspires us to face every difficulty with courage and wisdom. Through this story we also learn to maintain patience in adverse circumstances. Ramayana is the story of a royal family and dynasty which presents ideals of mutual relationships between husband-wife, brothers and other family members.

From childhood to old age, we feel fear, which we also call dread, fear and nervousness etc. Although, it is natural for a normal person to be afraid. There is hardly any person who does not feel fear. Actually, fear is a normal emotion. But when this fear starts dominating our life, then it becomes necessary that we remove it from ourselves in time. Because when this fear takes a terrible form, it becomes a phobia. Fear is the truth of life. We all are afraid of something or the other. Some are afraid of exams, while some are afraid of its results. Many people are afraid of heights, while some people are afraid of going alone in the dark or in a lift.
Similarly, I was also afraid of people thinking what will they say if I do this work. One day my husband explained that people can only talk, your life is your own, you will decide how to live it. After that I started ignoring what people said. I am still very afraid of cockroaches when they fly, and I will never be able to get rid of this fear. In childhood, I was very afraid of darkness, sitting in a plane, hospital, and blood, but gradually I overcame them with time.
Fear can scare us only till we face it boldly. Actually, we often avoid doing those things which scare us. Therefore, to remove our fear from our mind, it is necessary that we face it courageously. When we face fear, we are unable to gather courage to move forward and stop there. If we gather the desired courage and come in a position to fight and take the risk with full confidence and face the fearful situation, then we win over that situation and get success. That is why it is said that victory lies beyond fear.
Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.
There are many small things that give me happiness, such as spending a few days of vacation with my family, eating my favorite food in a good restaurant, spending time with friends, attending satsangs, etc. But I feel the happiest when I sleep a lot on a holiday. My body and mind are completely relaxed on that day.
Everything we do in life is to find happiness, but unfortunately being happy seems to be a very difficult task. We think that there must be certain conditions to be happy. But it is not so. When you are fundamentally happy, when you don’t have to do anything to be happy, every aspect of your life will change. Your experiences and the way you express yourself will change. The whole world will seem to you changed. You will no longer have any vested interests because whether you do something or not, whether you get something or not, whether something happens or not, you will be blissful by nature. When you are inherently happy, whatever you do will be on a whole different level. It doesn’t matter what you are doing in your life, whether it is business, power, education or service, you are doing it because somewhere deep within you there is a feeling that it will make you happy. Everything we do on this earth is out of a desire to be happy, because that is our basic nature. When you were a child, you were happy by nature. That is your nature. The source of happiness is within you, you can make it a living experience forever.
