Love is not an emotion, love is your being. Beyond every personality is love. Personality changes. Body, mind and behaviour are always changing. Beyond every personality is the unchanging love, that love is you. When you lose yourself, you will find yourself. The phenomenon behind the phenomenon is knowledge. The object behind the object is infinity. The person beyond the person is love. Love that is born out of attraction is momentary because it is due to ignorance or hypnosis. In this, you soon get disillusioned with the attraction and get bored. This love gradually starts diminishing and brings fear, uncertainty, insecurity and sadness.

The love that comes through comfort brings intimacy but there is no passion, excitement, or joy in it. For example, you feel more comfortable with your old friend than with a new friend because he is familiar to you. Divine love is the highest kind of love. It is evergreen and always remains new. The closer you get to it, the more attractive and intense it becomes. It never gets tired and keeps everyone excited.

Worldly love is like the ocean, but even the ocean has its limits. Divine love is like the sky which has no limits. Fly high from the limit of the ocean to the sky. Divine love is beyond all relationships and includes all relationships. Often people experience love at first sight. Then as time passes, it diminishes and becomes corrupt and turns into hatred and disappears. When love is fertilized with knowledge, it becomes a tree. It takes the form of ancient love and remains with us from birth to birth. It is our own consciousness.

How to accept love?

Many times love seems complicated because people do not know how to accept love. Someone comes to you and says, I love you very much. In a short while you want to close your ears and say, ‘Enough, this is becoming too heavy for me, I want to run away from it.’ The thing is that that person starts feeling suffocated even in love. This is because we have never gone within ourselves. We have never realized who we are. We do not know that we are made of something called love. When we are not connected with ourselves, then connecting with others does not come so naturally. And that is why, when someone else wants to connect with you, you become so restless. Because you feel that you have not been able to meet yourself, so you do not understand how to accept love. Loving is an art. You should have the skill to give love.  The skill of giving love is to be in love, not to just try. Love is not an act, it is a state of mind. You have to be in it without any conditions. See, I am here for you without any conditions. Now it is up to you to come here and accept it. People can understand you better because of your inner strength. Similarly, you cannot force someone to understand that you love them very much. You have to let some time pass for all this to happen because you know that forcing in such a case can create other problems. When people give you love and respect, you are forced to follow the etiquette because you do not want to hurt them. But when they do not give you respect and love, then they will not be affected by your expression. They set you free. So the next time when someone does not give you love and respect, do not feel sad, but know that you have become free from many formalities, you have become independent.

Why do you doubt love?

You only doubt the positive things in your life, you never doubt the negative things. You doubt someone’s honesty and believe in their dishonesty. When someone is angry with you, you don’t doubt their anger. But when someone says they love you, you start doubting and thinking, “What? Do they really love me?”

What to do when someone doubts your love? With whom do you really feel comfortable and free? With someone who does not doubt your love, who believes without a doubt that you love them. When someone doubts your love and you have to constantly prove your love, it becomes a heavy burden for you. They question you and want an explanation for everything you do. Explaining everything you do is a mental burden. Your nature is to remove the burden because you don’t feel at ease.

You are always a witness. You are as much a witness to your own actions as you are to the actions of others. When people ask you for an explanation of your actions, they are speaking from the doership and imposing that doership on you. This brings discomfort. Neither ask for an explanation nor give one.

A ‘sakha’ is a companion in life and death. It never leaves. A sakha only wants the beloved. It does not care for knowledge or liberation. Love is incomplete because of longing, desire. His love is infinite and perfection is never possible in infinity. His love is complete in infinite imperfection. The path of love has no end.
