I admire my mother in this world. I am married. But whenever I am upset, my mother understands that I am going through some problem just by hearing her voice on the phone. She tells me the state of my heart by looking at me and I am surprised every time. Mother may not be very educated but she is very intelligent. The lessons given by the world are on one side and the big lessons learned by watching my mother are on the other side. Mother’s words and the teachings given by her are useful throughout life. Mother is like that, who fights with father and gives wings to our dreams. She fights with the society for our dreams. She is always happy even after sacrificing everything for us. Whenever I get angry at my mother that why does she keep herself behind and family in front, she says smilingly that you are my world.

Whenever my boat gets caught in a flood, my mother comes in my dreams praying. We all know how true and pure these simple words are. The one who understands our problems, the one who doesn’t sleep in our pain, is only our mother. Someone has rightly said that God cannot reach everywhere, that is why he has created mother. In this world, if anyone loves you unconditionally, then it is only your mother. My mother has also taught me to love and also told me that you can win the world with love. You can win big games with the power of patience, humility and love. Anger, ego and pride only drown you. Mother cannot be called the goddess of compassion without any reason. Compassion and sympathy are found only in a mother and you cannot learn anything greater than this from her. If I am kind to even one person today, it is because I have learnt it from my mother. Showing kindness to someone makes you a human being and it has the power to change your life.

I have dreamt big dreams for myself since childhood. It is very difficult for a middle class family to dream big and try to fulfill them. But it is my mother who gives wings to my dreams, so I am able to try to fulfill my dreams. This lesson taught by my mother is shaping the direction of my life today. She told me that dreams are not just the product of imagination, but are powerful seeds of possibilities, which are waiting to be realized. I get panicky waiting for my dreams to be fulfilled as soon as possible. But my mother always advises me to be patient. Since childhood, my mother always tried to explain the value of patience. She taught that strength does not lie in the absence of obstacles, but in the ability to face them with patience. I have seen her being patient even in the biggest storms, and not as much as her, but yes, I have also learned to be patient a little. I lost my father a few days ago. But even in such times, my mother’s patience was worth seeing.

If you are happy, I am happy. No matter how much I argue with her, she always emphasizes the importance of family. She teaches me a thousand things while laughing. This is how I have learnt some of the most important lessons from her. I have learnt from her how to pause in this hustle-bustle world and appreciate the people and things around me. She taught me the art of gratitude. A lesson that has changed my perspective of looking at the world. She has taught me how having gratitude with all the ups and downs of life shapes the way we live. We see posts on self-love on social media every day. But I have learnt the most about self-love from my mother. When I do not take care of myself, I always remember one thing mother said – ‘Jaan hai, to jahaan hai. You will take care of yourself, only then will you be able to take care of others.’ She told me that there is no selfishness in self-love, but it is essential for our physical, emotional and mental well-being. I have always lived life on my own terms.  Yes, whenever I am insecure about my appearance, I remember my mother’s words. Unless we accept ourselves, how will this society accept us. My shortcomings and flaws make me special. She has taught me that true beauty is not in perfection but in authenticity. My mother is most happy when I do or learn something new. I am fond of writing, which I got from my mother. Whenever I write something new, she is very happy. Mother always taught me that this world is so amazing, where I will get endless opportunities to learn and grow. It is my mother who inspires me to do something new every day with an open mind and curiosity.

One of the things that is available for free in this world is advice. If you are doing any business or job, then there will definitely be some people at the workplace who will give you advice without being asked. In a fast changing environment, one cannot have knowledge of everything. In such a situation, some people are needed who give advice. For example, well-educated and capable people will become restless if they earn more position, money and prestige. For this, they will have to take advice.

There is no harm in taking advice, but do not take advice from the wrong person. Whether the person giving advice is big or small, educated or ignorant, it does not matter how he is from within. If he is cunning, he will say something negative, if he is simple and easy-going, then he will say something that will be useful for you throughout your life.
