keep your mind under control

What experiences in life helped you grow the most?

Every person has some experience in life which he remembers throughout his life.  Such a time came in my life also.

I was of introverted nature since childhood.  I never believed in God.  I was not in the habit of completing any one task easily.  Like I used to do the same in matters of studies also.  Due to this nature of mine before the exams, I could not complete any subject.

Once my father made me read Ramayana. Many ways to be successful have been mentioned in the Hindu scriptures also.  Goswami Tulsidas writes in Ramcharitmanas, just as the fishes of a big reservoir always remain happy, in the same way a person in the shelter of God also remains free from all problems.  Therefore, concentrate on God to do your work.  God will help you every step of the way. After reading this, my life changed completely. I became a believer from that day. Then I saw that there was a stability in my nature. And whatever I did, I put my heart and soul into it.  Although, due to some family problems, I could not study much. But even today, when I do something, I do it with all my heart.  Therefore, one should always learn to control the mind. A person who learns to control his mind and desires can be successful in any work.  Because if your mind is not under control, you will always deviate from your work or goal.  It is said in the scriptures that, control the mind and use the mind more than the heart to achieve success.
