Sound is on the surface, silence is in the innermost.  There is no sound at all in the innermost part.  Absence of sound means absence of vibration and echo, life and death, i.e. the entire creation.  The absence of creation in experience means moving towards the all-embracing presence of the source of creation.  Therefore, a place that is beyond creation, a dimension that is beyond life and death, is called silent or silent.  Man cannot say it, it can only happen.
