Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?

Yes, I am a patriot. And in my view everyone should be a patriot. Otherwise he will be called a traitor. Patriotism is a feeling of pride.  No person will be ready to accept that he is not a patriot.

For me, being a patriot means a feeling of loyalty towards one’s nation.  We can call a person who has a self-dying feeling towards his nation a true patriot.  The appropriate contribution that is given to protect the independence of our nation, to protect our countrymen and to help in the continuous and overall development of the country, we can call it patriotism.  Standing at attention during the national anthem, respecting national symbols and celebrating national festivals with great pomp and show is patriotism.

Patriotism is something to do for the country, every moment in your job or your life you can do something that reflects patriotism.  For example, during the Corona pandemic, the patriotism with which Corona Warriors like doctors, police, health workers, teachers etc. laid down their lives for the public with their hard work, devotion to duty and spirit of service is unique.

If someone wants to be a true patriot then he cannot be dishonest, cannot be corrupt. True patriotism is not only in celebration and cheering, but in doing what the country needs very much. Having a feeling of patriotism among the countrymen makes the country stronger.  Becomes more developed.  Our nation is like a mother to us.
We should keep doing something or the other for our motherland. Just as we respect our mother, we should also respect our motherland. People who have respect for the country, such people always contribute to the economic growth of the country.  And think only about social progress.  Patriots work to remove problems like corruption and poverty from the country. Patriotism is not one-sided.  That you will continue to love the country in which you are born and whose citizens you are, in every situation, even if it means oppression of you or your citizens, and you will continue to pretend to love.  Speaking against that oppression is also patriotism. There are patriotic people in every country who always represent their motherland in the best way in front of the world.  Everyone loves, respects and appreciates a patriot and their sacrifice for the country makes them immortal.

Patriotism does not always mean fighting, being violent and sacrificing one’s life to defend the country from external attacks.  It also includes passionate work for the countrymen, true love and showing honest feelings towards the country.

A patriot is one who has respect, loyalty and devotion towards his nation and has strong support for the motherland.  This will be the indicator of our real patriotism.
