The auspicious time for installing the idol of Lord Shri Ram will be 84 seconds, the time of which has been fixed from 12:29 to 12:30. But do you know why January 22 has been chosen for the consecration of Ram Lalla?

Is January 22 such a special day?

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Rama was born at the confluence of Abhijeet Muhurta, Mrigashirsha Nakshatra, Amrit Siddhi Yoga and Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga. All these auspicious events will come together again on 22 January 2024. Therefore it becomes the most ideal day for the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya. According to astrologers and great sages, 22 January is Karma Dwadashi and it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is believed that on the day of Karma Dwadashi, Lord Vishnu took the form of a tortoise and helped in the churning of the ocean. Lord Shri Ram is a form of Lord Vishnu. Therefore, 22 January has been considered very auspicious for the inauguration of Ram Temple.

According to religious beliefs, Lord Shri Ram was born on the day of Abhijeet Muhurta, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga and Amrit Siddhi Yoga. Therefore, there cannot be a more auspicious time than January 22 for the establishment of Ram temple in Ayodhya. During this time Lord Ram will sit in the sanctum sanctorum. The Varaha incarnation of God also took place in the afternoon. Similarly, many incarnations of God have taken place in the afternoon. Abhijeet Muhurta is also found after 12 o’clock in the afternoon. If the idol of Ram Lala is consecrated at this time, then the Ram temple will remain permanent till eternity. This auspicious time has been determined by the astrologers of Kashi for the consecration of Ramlala’s life.

There are many misconceptions regarding the establishment of Ram Lala and the month of Pausha. It is said that auspicious work should not be done in the month of Pausha. After analyzing the scriptures, the month of Paush has been said to be very good for consecration of life. Explaining its result, it is said that if consecration is done in the month of Paush, then the state will grow and the people will benefit. According to this, the time of Aries ascendant has been calculated to be one and a quarter hour. The reputation of the statue will remain steadfast and endure for thousands of years to come. A fixed time of fifteen to twenty minutes was allotted for this.

The auspicious time is decided according to astrological calculations. The auspicious combination of day, date, moon, planets and constellations is called Muhurta. These are personal and holistic. Sometimes it is for one person and sometimes it is seen for more than one. According to many calendars, Dev Pratishtha Muhurta is on 22nd January. This is the main auspicious time due to which January 22 was chosen for the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Amrit Siddhi Yoga is also held on 22nd January, which is considered auspicious. This day is not only auspicious for the consecration of Ram temple, but also for the rituals of laying the foundation of the house, Griha Pravesh i.e. entering a new house, Upanayana Sanskar i.e. giving sacred thread. It is auspicious for marriage, for water worship after the birth of children, and also for starting a new business. Abhijit Muhurta will also be valid on this day. If this moment is so good for us common people then why not for Ramlala.
