What power is there in prayer?

Prayer provides inner strength to a person, it provides inner strength, enthusiasm and hope to motivate him towards action. Prayer destroys disappointments and negative emotions by making a person’s thoughts and desires positive. Prayer has great importance in every religion. The basic feeling of prayer is that a person will have to do work, but the work done by him will never go in vain, he will definitely get adequate results. He will get inspiration and enthusiasm for that work through prayer.

Prayer does not mean that you leave your work and sit in the temple doing Aarti, keep ringing the bell and God will go to the examination hall in your place and take the exam or will complete your other tasks. Prayer provides inner strength to a person, it provides inner strength, enthusiasm and hope to motivate him towards action. Prayer destroys despair and negative emotions by making a person’s thoughts and desires positive. Man never becomes lucky by praying. If this were the case then people of all religions would have stopped praying or all religions would have denied the importance of prayer. Prayer cannot take the place of action, action cannot take the place of prayer. If this were the case then the doctor would have prayed before the operation to ensure that the operation is done. The basic feeling of prayer is that the person will have to do the work, but the work done by him will never go unfruitful, he will get adequate results. Will definitely get it. He will get inspiration and enthusiasm for that work through prayer. Lord Shri Krishna has expressed this importance of prayer in Geeta. He said that you should have faith in your work only, not in the desire for results. Because whatever work you do, you will definitely get its results. Therefore, there should be love in your work only, not in the result. What is meant to be said here is that a person should collect his time, his energy, his concentration and his acquired power and work hard for the prescribed work, and should not make his mind frustrated and anxious due to the desire for results. By doing this the work done becomes fruitful. Indian culture gives the message of turning man towards God, but does not make him workless or fatalistic. Even astrology says that destiny changes through action.

Our fate lines start changing automatically after some time. Karma is behind the change in those lines. The literal meaning of prayer is the desire for special grace. At the time of prayer, when a person appeals to his deity or makes a request, the person’s mind becomes pure. By daily prayer, our mind becomes healthy by having clean thoughts and our mental disorders are destroyed. In fact prayer makes us humble and submissive, which is a requirement of every person’s nature. There is a great need for them in today’s society. Therefore, the significance of prayer is very high in the present times. Prayer makes us practice concentrating our mind and brain, so that you can achieve your destination, you can be successful in the challenge you have accepted, the work you have resolved to do. Prayer done with true feelings and work done with sincerity is the guarantee of success. Prayer is the essence of religion. Prayer is not a request, it is a call of the soul. This is a call for self-purification. Prayer invites humility within us. If the ornaments of man’s personality are peace, humility and tolerance, then their origin lies in prayer. If the essential elements of a man’s personality are diligence, dedication and hard work, then they are the foundation of his success. Both have their own importance. You have to choose as per your requirement what is necessary for you.

Praying to God while continuously doing Karmayoga is actually an acceptance of considering the work being done as God’s work. Karma accompanied by prayer is another form of dedication of the devotee’s work at the feet of God. Due to this, ego does not arise in the mind of the doer. Although the worship methods of different religions may be different, the inner notes of prayer are the same. All the great people of the world have gained inner strength somewhere or the other through prayer to God. Prayer is a medium of unity between God and man.

By praying you are reminding yourself of how much suffering you are in. By praying you are reminding yourself how unreliable you are. By praying you are reminding yourself how foolish you are. This is what you are saying, I should not do anything bad to myself.

In prayer you remind yourself, again and again, of your responsibility as well as your weakness. Responsibility reminds you that only you have the power to harm yourself and do good for yourself. And when you remind me of your weakness, you remind me that you have no strength, you will cause harm to yourself. You remind yourself of both things together.
The name of reminding oneself of these two things is prayer. The first thing is that I am very powerful, I am so powerful that I can destroy myself as well as save myself. And secondly, I am very weak, I am very weak, how to know? I can do my own welfare as well as destroy myself. But I often end up destroying myself. I am very weak and I am forgetful, what I remember now I will forget after some time. That is why it is customary to repeat the prayers several times.

What is prayer? How do we empower ourselves through prayer?
Since childhood, we have spoken, sung and heard many prayers. Over time, we have developed faith in prayer. This belief will lead us towards a better life and will also help in the development of our spiritual journey. Prayer, when done with the right understanding, has a tremendous impact on our well-being and spiritual growth.

Prayer is a direct means of building a relationship with God. It is a conversation – with the God within us, or with the idol, and with the God we worship, or with the divine power in which we have strong faith. It’s a wireless connection! Therefore, prayer can be done at any time and any place!
In general, our elders and gurus recommend praying early in the morning. The idea behind praying first thing in the morning is that we are giving due priority to prayer before getting busy with daily routine. However, if it is not possible to pray in the morning, we can pray at any time of the day, there is nothing wrong in it. Prayer is a request made before God. Prayer means desiring something supernatural from God. Whenever we want something but are unable to get it or when we need help or guidance from someone but do not get it, we pray to God with utmost devotion, love and heart. And then we definitely get the answer to our prayer. When our prayer is true then we definitely get what we pray for.

The effect of the vibrations generated by prayer is that we get the help of divine powers. There are many Gods and Goddesses in the universe who are ready to help anyone if one prays to them with a true heart. Due to such indomitable spirit that people get the right direction, they have a lot of virtuous deeds. And since they are now present in the universe in the form of Gods and Goddesses they always help those who are eager to progress on the path of peace and salvation. But we have to ask before them. When we get lost midway, we stop and ask someone for the right path to reach our destination, right? Something similar happens in prayer also.
Prayer is a special request made to God. Prayer means asking from God in a broad sense. Prayer means asking for the strength that we lack to reach our goal. For example,
If our goal is to bring happiness to others, we can recite this prayer by heart five times every morning: “O Lord, may my mind, words and body not cause even the slightest sorrow to any living being in this world.” If someone misbehaves with us, we will pray to God to have mercy on that person. Instead of trying to change the person, it is better to have good feelings for them.

Prayer plays an important role in a person’s bad times.
Sometimes, a person resorts to prayer in an attempt to change his destiny. For example, if we are suffering from some illness, or we are having a bad time, we pray to God that our karma be washed away. There are many types of karma to suffer. One kind of karma can be washed away by prayer, another kind of karma is one that can be washed away by true spiritual effort, and the third kind of karma is one that can be washed away no matter how much effort we make. . One has to suffer. The third type of karma is smooth. In the scriptures, this smooth karma has been called ‘Nikachit’ karma. In which a person has to suffer karma in any situation. However, at that time some relief can be found through prayer. Therefore it is very important to always pray. Prayer does not help in destroying the karma but in this state it gives stability and inner peace to the person. When our karma causes us sorrow, then awakening comes. Then we pray to God, “O God, save us from these deeds. Only then we become awakened. God does not give us awakening, awakening comes only by taking His name. If there are many problems outside, there is a lot of despair, So it is good to do bhajans. If a person is very restless and he sings bhajans in a loud voice, then the situation inside will become calm. Also one of the reasons is that there is nothing like silent prayer.”
Prayer means surrendering your problems and concerns.
Whenever we face any problem in life, we pray to God. What it means to pray is to surrender all your doubts and worries, all your plans and confusions at the lotus feet of God.

Prayer is a means for our own progress. Every parent should teach their children that every morning after taking bath, they should pray with a pure heart,
“O God!” Give me and all the people of the world true understanding, give good wisdom, give salvation to the world. If you, as a parent, do this, it means that you are trying to instill good values in your children. Children may resist at first, but after some time they will like to pray and will respond positively. Usually a child learns the importance of prayer from an early age. Only then does he develop a strong faith. It happens that God listens to prayers because prayers offered with all the heart definitely yield results and within no time, God becomes the child’s forever friend. Prayer makes a person humble. When the person bows down humbly When someone does namaskar to pray, he admits that he still has a lot to learn. So when we pray, we surrender our ego and are giving up the impurities within us. The person’s ego is reduced. Being is the same process of spiritual progress, which will gradually reduce the ignorant beliefs that we have about ourselves. When we ask God for the strength to destroy our ego, we develop ultimate humility. Every day you have to do it with all your heart. And one should say in a prayerful manner, ‘My speech should not hurt anyone, and my speech should be such that it helps and gives happiness to another person.’ When, after sowing such seeds of speech causally, a person attains true speech.
