Why does man become poor?

To a great extent, man himself is responsible for his happiness and sorrow. God may send you wealth and happiness in your destiny, but God keeps an eye on everything you do. And according to your deeds your destiny also changes. That is why it is seen that many people die untimely death even if they have a long life line in their palm and live in poverty even if they have a good fate line. Lord Shri Krishna’s friend Sudama is also considered an example of this, who had to face extreme poverty due to his mistake. However, later by the grace of Shri Krishna his poverty was removed. Sudama, out of greed, ate the food given by Gurumata alone, even though Shri Krishna also had a share in it. Sudama had to face poverty because of eating someone else’s share. Therefore, the rights of others should not be snatched away.

In today’s era, everyone considers only filling their stomach as success. Whatever wealth, wealth, prosperity and respect we have in our life has been given by the Lord. It is said in the Gita that those who eat food without offering it to God commit the mistake of eating stolen food. One has to suffer the punishment for this in both this world and the next world. Lakshmi gets angry in a house where God is not remembered before eating.

If you have enough money then you must help a poor person. You get pleasure from generosity.
A hungry and poor man came to the door of the house to ask for food and it was considered a great sin to scold him and send him away. There are no blessings in the wealth of such a person and Goddess Lakshmi gets angry with him and goes away. It is said in the scriptures that whatever charity you do, you get it double. And not only you but many of your generations enjoy the fruits of your good deeds.

In today’s era, there is a competition between husband and wife as to who is the best. It happens in many homes that husbands do not give any respect to their wives. Women are Sri i.e. Lakshmi. Those who want wealth should respect those men who misbehave with their wives. They speak harsh words and beat them; Lakshmi does not stay in those houses for long. It is written in the Puranas that where Grihalakshmi i.e. the woman of the house is disrespected, Goddess Lakshmi does not remain there for long, that is, poverty does not take long to arrive there.

Drinking alcohol is a common thing in today’s era. But there is a limit to anything. If anything is excessive, it causes destruction. Alcohol and gambling have been considered the causes of destruction. An example of this is directly shown in Mahabharata. Chakravarti emperor Yudhishthir had to lose his kingdom due to gambling and in the end even his wife had to be put at stake. Yudhishthir had to wander from forest to forest with his brother and wife for years.

According to the scriptures, adultery is considered a great sin. There are many examples of this, from Bali to Ravana and from Ramayana to Mahabharata, in which even rich people became poor due to evil eyes on other women. Due to casting evil eye on Ahilya, even Indra, the king of gods, had to lose his kingdom and wander like a common man. Therefore always keep yourself within limits.

Serving the elders at home is the biggest service. It happens in many homes that the elders remain very sad. They are not given food, clothing and even a proper room to live. In such a situation his soul always remains sad. And when someone’s soul is sad then where will we get blessings from. There is never any blessings in such houses. People of such houses have to face a lot of problems.

Cow is considered to be the form of Lakshmi. One of the gems that came out of the churning of the ocean is the cow. If a person keeps cows in his house and does not take proper care of them, then poverty comes to that house.

A person should always be honest and should also teach honesty to his children. Lakshmi has no place in the life of a person who commits despicable acts like cheating others and embezzling others’ money. We should always consume our share only.
