Creating sorrow in the mind is our own fault. Unless we want someone to make us sad, no one can make us sad. A person was screaming clinging to a tree. Someone save me, someone save me from this tree. This tree has caught me, then a Guru and disciple were passing by. The disciple told his Guru that Gurudev should help this man. It is stuck to this tree. He wanted to be rescued, so his teacher told him that no one could help him.
So the disciple was surprised and asked – What is it that no one can help him? Gurudev said that this person himself has held the tree, and the person himself has held something. How can he be freed? Who can save him? Similarly, you have also caught all the sorrows yourself that it is mine so that it does not go away. Should it remain with me, or should I get it and the reason for all your sorrows is this bond between me and mine.
When you go to sleep at night, pay attention to your last thought. Whatever thought or feeling you have when you go to sleep, that thought or feeling becomes the first thought or feeling when you wake up and thus remains in your mind throughout the day. Sadness is the shadow of our life which will always follow us. If we are afraid of our shadow, we will never be able to move forward in life.
