How to take care of your health according to months?

Four months of devotion and holy deeds have been called Chaturmas in Sanatan Dharma.  These four months are important for people who do chanting and penance and believe in Sanatan.  During this time, not only is the physical and mental state purified, the atmosphere also remains pleasurable.  Chaturmas is a period of four months, which starts from Ashadh Shukla Ekadashi and continues till Kartik Shukla Ekadashi.  The above four months have been called the month of fasting because during the above four months, while our digestive power weakens, the number of bacteria in food and water also increases.



The period of Lord Vishnu’s sleep is called Chaturmas.  During these four months, saints, ascetics, Sankaracharya ji etc. all the preachers of Sanatan Dharma stay at one place and do chanting and penance.  Only Vraj Yatra can be done during this time. It is said that during this time all the pilgrims of the world come and reside in Vraj.  In Chaturmas, there is a belief of giving up one of the things that are eaten daily. Sacrifice of a loved thing is considered more fruitful.  Fasting in the four months of Chaumasa and doing Udyapan on Kartik Ekadashi is considered best.  According to sages and saints, it is said to be best to leave the plate and eat food in a plate.  According to Sanatan traditions, it is customary to eat food outside home during these months.  According to the scriptures, eating the following things is prohibited during Chaumasa.

During Chaturmas, one should not eat Tamasic and heavy food, alcohol, non-veg, eggs etc.  This time has been called the time of restraint.
During Chaturmas, all auspicious activities like marriage ceremony, engagement, head shaving, naming of the child, housewarming etc. are prohibited.
During the time of Chaturmas, it is forbidden to eat curd, radish, brinjal and greens etc. Stay away from habits like lies, deceit, deceit, jealousy, harsh words.  Do not hurt anyone and maintain control over yourself. If you fast for four months during Chaturmas or do any special meditation, then do not travel during this period. This is the time for meditation.  Shri Hari should be worshiped in this.  Meanwhile, you can perform special rituals, chant mantras, recite Geeta etc. Special importance of charity and charity has been given in Chaturmas.  Meanwhile, donate money, clothes, umbrella, slippers and food etc.  This will solve all your problems.
Practice living a balanced life during Chaturmas.  Wake up early in the morning and sleep early at night.  Eat simple food and eat on time.  Keep your speech controlled and talk thoughtfully.

Vaishakha,
According to the English month, it falls between April-May.  Applying new oil is prohibited in the month of Vaishakha.  Oil and fried foods should be avoided in this month.  Can eat vine.The festival of Akshaya Tritiya is celebrated in the month of Vaishakh.  Summer starts from this month, hence tamarind water cools the stomach in this month. Baisakhi, Buddhi Purnima also come in this month.

Jyeshtha,
This month falls between May-June.  Walking and playing in the afternoon is prohibited in the month of Jyeshtha.  Eating wood apple is prohibited this month also.  There is extreme heat during these months, hence traveling too much is harmful for health.  One should sleep as much as possible in this month.Nirjala Ekadashi, the most difficult fast, falls in this month.

Ashadh,
This month falls between June-July according to the English calendar. The festival of Guru Purnima is celebrated on the full moon day of Ashadh month. On this day one receives blessings from gurus. This month is considered the most auspicious for undertaking pilgrimage. Donation and meditation both have importance in this month. It is prohibited not to eat ripe wood apple in the month of Ashadh.  Also avoid consumption of green vegetables in this month. Green leafy vegetables like fenugreek, spinach, should not be eaten in this month. 


 

Shravan ,
This month falls between July-August according to the English calendar. From religious point of view the month of Shravan is considered very important. The festival of Rakshabandhan, symbolizing the love between brother and sister, falls in this month.  In the first month of Chaturmas, rains start from Shravan, the environment becomes impure, leafy vegetables get infected with bacteria.   Cabbage and brinjal should not be eaten in Chaturmas. Science also says that the temperature during these days is such that there are more chances of bacteria and fungus growing in green leafy vegetables.  Instead of these, eat vegetables like bottle gourd, bitter gourd, ridge gourd and tinda. These days, if the digestive system is weak then high protein can also cause problems.  That is why eating urad dal and lentils is also prohibited.  At the same time, do not eat oily, spicy food and curd in this season. Eating green leafy vegetables and milk products is also prohibited.  In this month, one should eat hare which is called Haridra or Harda. Do not eat green vegetables along with milk and milk products.  Eating curd is prohibited in this month.  Buttermilk, curd and things made from it should not be eaten during these two months.  Sesame seeds should be used in this month. There is a possibility of getting cold by eating these things in this month.

Bhado ,

this month falls in august,September according to the English month. According to the scriptures, the month of Bhado is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna is celebrated in this month. And Lord Shiva’s son Ganesha was also born in this month. Bitter gourd is considered taboo in this month.  Jaggery should be eaten daily in this month. Bitter gourd is very beneficial and is very beneficial for diabetic patients, but eating bitter gourd is prohibited in some months because it also causes harm in these months.  Our elders have made a rule based on their experience according to which it is decided what not to eat in which season.  Those with knowledge follow this. Bitter gourd should not be eaten at all in the months of September and October.  Bitter gourd eaten during these months causes harm instead of benefits.

Ashwin,

This month falls in September,October, according to the English month. Sharadiya Navratri of Maa Durga is celebrated in the month of Ashwin. Which ends with Dussehra festival. Cumin should not be used in food during this time. Eating brinjal and curd is also completely prohibited in this month. Radish should be eaten in this month. Consumption of radish is considered beneficial from health point of view. In this month, one should eat good food like milk, kheer, dry fruits and the like. Apart from this, urad, moong, lentils, gram, peas, mustard, buttermilk, onion, garlic, alcohol, meat etc. are also prohibited. Kartik month Vishnu resides in water, hence fish cannot be eaten. Eating brinjal increases pitta dosha. Eating curd is not considered auspicious for the children. The number of insects which are not visible in bitter gourd increases. Cumin has a cooling effect and eating it at the beginning of cold is harmful. In this month, sleeping in the afternoon and applying oil on the body is also harmful. Eating brinjal in this month creates pitta dosha in a person’s life.


Karthik,,

This month falls in October,November according to the English month. Coriander should not be eaten in these two months because the nature of coriander is considered cold and generally it is very cold in this season. You can drink milk in this month. Eating radish is also prohibited in this month. One should not eat sugar candy. In this month one should eat ghee and khichdi. Also take one apple daily.

Mangsir,

This month falls in November,December,according to the English month. One should not eat sugar candy in this month. Because it is very cold in this month and sugar candy cools our body.

Paush,
This month falls between December , January.It is very cold in these months. At this time we should consume ginger. Eating ghee will also be good for our health. Eating turmeric, fenugreek in any form is beneficial in this month.

Magh,

Magha month falls in January-February in the English calendar.Magh month is considered very cold. Makar Sankranti is celebrated in this month. In which eating sesame has great importance. Eating sesame seeds in this month is very good for the body. That is why our ancestors linked this practice with the festival.

Falgun

Phagun month falls in February-March according to the English calendar.Holi, the festival of colors, is celebrated in this month. In the month of Phalgun, one should take bath with cold or normal water. The use of grains in food should be minimal and fruits should be consumed as much as possible.

Chaitra month falls in March-April according to the English calendar. This is the first month of the Hindu calendar. Chaitra Navratri starts from this month. Eating jaggery is prohibited in the month of Chaitra. But you can eat gram. One should wake up early in the morning in this month. Our sages live and by eating neem in the month of Chaitra, people do not fall sick throughout the year.

The person who will follow these things will not eat. That person will never fall ill. You will not have to go to a doctor.Although we take a lot of precautions, we still get sick. But if we take some precautions, we can protect ourselves from getting sick.
